About Old Home Days
According to the New England Historical Society, "the birth of the celebration (of Old Home Days) can be traced to one man: Frank Rollins, who set in motion the first Old Home Days – 44 of them, all in New Hampshire – in 1899." We are lucky that here in Merrimac, we are part of this rich New England tradition with our very own Old Home Days celebration.
Merrimac Old Home Days takes place the 2nd weekend in August each year.  This free event offers fun for the whole family with kids games and activities, food and crafts for sale, an outdoor movie night, one of the largest bonfires in the area and more!
